"At least it keeps us off the streets" is the English version which is
very similar and not so rude.
Let's forget grammar and say instead "We gaze even at horses this morn of
snow" (Basho), has it snowed yet?
Or even, "Water which is too pure has no fish".
and finally, "It is not the same to talk of bulls as to be in the bullring".
So load up with film and get out on the streets ;-)
