Before moving to Alaska, I took classes in cybercrime and
cybersecurity. I was ready for a career change. Turns out, a climate
change was all I needed. :)
Anyway, to your point, I found some stuff very easy to learn as long
as it fit the structure of what I already knew. When the new
information fit within a known framework, all was well. But on the
things that I didn't have an existing framework of understanding? HAH!
I'm struggling with this with my day job right now because I'm now
dealing with stuff that gets deep into QAM and other things. My
baseline of understanding is shockingly insufficient. Fortunately, I'm
smart enough (and well establish enough) that I can deflect, redirect,
or delay and still look like a hero. LOL
