It was a nice try, but in the end it has turned out to be a waste of time
and money. The new phone cannot be activated, even if I'm standing within a
hundred feet of a tower. TracFone tells me that the new phone cannot be
activated because my account has been deactivated. Uh-huh.
I cannot use this new phone as a PDA as it will only go into activation
mode when turned on. So, I will stick with the FrankenPhone that was thrown at
me as it gives me the navigation stuff that I've learned to enjoy, plus 911
service if I should need it.
