I haven't had a chance to download the images into the computer yet,
but yesterday I got to go out on a fishing charter from Seward. We
went out about 40-50 miles, down west of the Chiswell Islands. Not
only was it a blast (waves were running 10 feet or so), but I took
about 1.5 billion pictures.

I packed the E-3 (and E-1 as backup) with 14-42 and 40-150 lenses
(including the second 14-42 as spare). I exclusively used the E-3
because of motion and vibration and gave the IBIS a severe workout.
I'm not sure what my grand total is, but somewhere between 1000-1500
pictures. When under full throttle, we were punching into the waves at
over 20 knots, so it was a pretty rough ride. When out in the roughest
open seas, I spent the entire time up front riding the rises and drops
and getting coated in spray. What a riot. I did manage to keep the
salt spray mostly off of the lens, but otherwise the E-3 got soaked
more than a few times. I cooked through two fully charged batteries,
so I'm sure the IBIS was going nuts. Actual number of keepers will
probably be low because nearly all were taken one-handed.

The scenery is "intense". Mountains and cliffs end right in the ocean.
Who cares if the fish were biting or not, it was a photographer's
paradise.

I didn't catch any Silvers, but did fill my quota with Rockfish.

Hopefully, I can do this again in a couple of weeks.
