I was wondering about that, too. Seems like the thing that is different between the bodies listed and others.
Unfortunately, Mark apparently pays a lot for each word, so uses very few. He might have mentioned if the lens works on
the older bodies. Maybe also whether the mount has been altered in any way.
But pix of the mounts of a couple of 16/3.5 lenses show the same three screw arrangement, in the same places, as a
garden variety 50/1.4. There are a couple of pins, or some such, in the mount. As far I can tell, holding a lens against
an OM-4, the one that is near wouldn't touch the switch, and looks flush, anyway.
And then, the OM-4 fires with or without lens attached, reset button pushed.
