Heston Blumenthal (using bricks) and Alton Brown (using terracotta/clay
plant pots)  have what seem to be relatively easy  DIY solutions to the
oven problem. These two chefs are quite entertaining to watch (and I
don't mean in the Ramsay kind of way :)).
