This may help with installing older software on Win 7/10. It is possible to 
remove some of the OS checks on older software installs and get them to install 
on Win 7/10.

I had a program, CodeWarrior 6.3 version, that would only install on XP. 
Someone figured out a way to remove the OS checks and get it to install on Win 
7/10. Check out the topic:

There is a link to a VBS script that was used to remove the OS checks. Perhaps 
for those with programs limited to Win XP this procedure can be adapted get 
them to install on Win 7/10.
