I realized after posting that AG and I come to the subject from very different 'directions'. As the most interesting and photogenic light along this coast, both for the tall, simple design and the location out on a dramatic point, I've seen endless images of it on shop and gallery walls, in local publications and on my monitor.

So making something that is both different and captures something of its pure essence in a very simple composition is exciting to me.

There are other angles that show its in relationship to the rocky shore below it on the other side, with the rolling waves and crashing surf; I've taken many myself. The colors when the marine layer is absent can be beautiful and it is also really this monochrome at other times.

I suppose the trees are similar in a way, iconic shapes in a very simple 
version of the context that shapes them.
