They got sent _long_ before the French gave us Lady Liberty. As I recall,
it was one of those "Go to the other side of the sea or get burned at the
stake, your choice" kind of things. There wasn't anyone here to accept them
except native tribes, who made the single greatest mistake of their
people--perhaps the single greatest mistake of any peoples at any time in
the long span of human history. <g>
