Think this through, Andrew. If you ship to the USA, you have full tracking
to its final delivery here. That's because the US Postal Service provides
the Australian Post Office the tracking info on the package after they've
handed it off to the US Postal Service. If our postal service didn't
provide yours with the tracking info while the package is in American
hands, your postal service wouldn't be able to offer you the tracking info
after it leaves Australian hands.
Conversely, if the US postal service hands off a package to another
country's PO, and that country does not keep the USPS updated on the
package's progress, then the USPS simply cannot update the tracking info.
I've shipped things to some countries where the tracking continued all the
way to delivery, and some that did not. The only possible explanation is
that some of those counties postal services supplied the USPS with the
tracking and some did not.
