Russell Square is the one stop from St Pancras on the Piccadilly line,
Holborn two stops, direct, no changes. What you gain on the Gatwick Express
(indeed, it's 15min quicker) you more than lose changing on the Underground
if your final destination isn't on the Victoria Line.

And the crowds at St Pancras are so much more cosmopolitan :-)

Victoria is where the Gatwick Express arrives, and the Gatwick Express is
the fastest way to get to Central London from Gatwick. Since I usually stay
in hotels in Bloomsbury, it is easy enough to get to Holborn or Russell
Square from Victoria, just one change at Green Park.

Cheers,
Nathan
