 Not sure what's wrong with A-S.  The D4 geared version is about 1/2 the weight 
of the 405.  There is a coverson kit for the QR to A-S for the 405--adds about 
1 lb  more and
$112.00 but looks like it does a nice job.

There is something satisfying about the deliberate workflow using my OM gear on 
a tripod if required.  I seem  to do better  all the way around the subsequent 
days.
I do like using the Acraetch V2 ball head. This model was modified a bit since 
I obtained it.

Forgot this guy came out a while back--requires a big win, however.  
Smaller and lighter than  410/405.
