As I've said before, 'too grainy' and what might be improvements depend 
entirely on some combination of your taste and 
that of your viewers/customers.

Certainly it is possible to ameliorate the grain without, to my eye, otherwise 
degrading the image.

Yes, AG, still using the crutch and loving it. Masked to create three different 
levels of grain reduction. I have no 
idea how I could create such a complex, precisely imprecise differentiation of 
degree of grain reduction any other way.
