Oops,

Everything I write in my first two paragraphs seem to have been covered by
others. Should first read all the list's answers before answering myself.

The last observation and question remain a question for me though. Any
answers?

Wiliam

Technically, the E-10 and E-20 were SLRs. They used "reflex"
technology for the viewfinder. But were they really SLRs? They didn't take
interchangeable lenses.

That's why they were called "Single Lens Reflex" ;-)

I have also been under the impression that the Reflex part of (D)SLR was to
indicate that the image was mirrored to the matte screen, as is also the way
it works in a TLR (Twin Lens Reflex). Does not mean however that the mirror
has to move up and down to give way to the film/sensor. A partly transparent
mirror also does the job.

Finally: Has anybody else noticed the viewfinder of the E-10 (And I suppose
the E-20 too) to become quite a lot brighter when switching the camera on?
Where does that come from?
