Yes I used the autotube but couldn't tell you at what extension as I had 
trouble getting the tripod near enough and used the extension to help 
focus, so it varied  I am no macro expert these were my first proper 
attempt at macro shots using the extension tube and the 80/4 previously 
I just used the 90/2 hand held
