I think what Ken said was that they're scanned at sufficient resolution 
to make a good 4x6 and anything larger than that is uprezzed.  1024 
would give you 256 dpi on a 4" print.  I'd prefer 300 for a small print 
but 256 is OK unless you're an eagle-eyed Moose.
