The one camera I look forward to updating is the Minolta A1. These new
Sonys are getting very very close to matching the features and
capabilites as that dark-ages camera had. I'm with you on the wireless
LCD with controls. I'm pretty much convinced that we haven't seen
live-view evolved enough yet to get to this point. The manufacturers
will get there and they have working prototypes in the labs, but the
product managers are doing the "Apple" thing on us and spoonfeeding
upgrades one at a tiny time to keep us committed to the upgrade
treadmill.

WayneS and I were discussing this recently. I'm still into using
larger cameras for various reasons, but when the compact form-factor
actually arrives in professional form, not in "Oooooo!!! Pretty
colors!!!" form, I'll be interested. Meanwhile, Olympus, Panasonic and
Sony are just wasting my time.
But that's OK. Timing isn't right, anyway. I'm using film for my "good stuff".
