The latency with the L1 is not nearly as long as the A1, but if you
are photographing baseball, to get a picture of the bat hitting the
ball, you better be pressing the shutter-release during the windup.
It has a slight hesitation as it decides that it's a camera and not
just a thing of beauty. "Oh, you want ME to take a picture? Wait a
minute, my nails are drying."
