LOL, the un-empty ashtrays the size of pie plates mounded with butts.
Of course, you always have that one bored idiot that tries to set fire
to the whole thing, but only succeeds in getting it to smolder.

On a positive note, though, some of the microphones would develop a
fantastic sound after a while. In fact, really old tavern SM-58
microphones that are coated in smoke and beer spit are really good
sounding on some voices and woodwind instruments. I have one on loan
to a recording engineer which my wife doesn't want back, but I do love
the sound from it. Spent 20 on it I think. I'm after one particular
mike I've chasing around the world for 15 years now. It's an SM-57
that got water-damaged in a flooded basement. It has changed hands a
few times with recording engineers needing money, but has been used on
a few important recordings. I first saw this mike in a voice-over
booth in a studio in England and By the time I realized how
significant the mike was, it had already changed hands twice. The
trail went cold about five years ago, but I keep my ear to the ground
and listen to many voice-overs seeing if I can hear the mike again. I
shudder to think that someone might have lost it or thrown it out.
