Dawid, I think Wayne remembers the way the camera used to look and is
wondering why it isn't wearing a strap and why it isn't showing usage
wear marks yet.
The missing strap is a temporary measure. And I do tend to be picky
about the conditions I subject the camera to. When doing the dual
camera event coverage thing, cameras get beat up. Especially when
working in crowded and low light situations. For that kind of stuff, I
usually pick another camera which is already well "adjusted" to abuse.
Besides, every camera has its strengths.
The finish on the 3Ti is different for sure. I don'tknow about it
being any tougher as tripod mounting scars on the bottom will attest.
But one thing about the finish, though. It gives the camera a
different feel. The camera even seems warmer to the touch than other
OM bodies.
This afternoon I am starting the camera packing process. First of all,
I have to make room for 50 rolls of film... Then there is the digital
kit which needs packing. Three bags to work with (spare film in
cooler). This will be an interesting logistics and science project.
