On the 5D ISO 400 is hardly distinguishable from ISO 100.  ISO 800 does, 
however, start to show some degradation.  I guess I use ISO 100 more out 
of habit than necessity although I sometimes go down to ISO 50 when 
dealing with daylight fill flash.
