Thanks, Jim. But I'm still not quite sure that I have my final answer.
The E-510 is a higher model number but not a later designed model. The
E-510 dates from Nov. 2007 and the E-420 from Jun. 2008. Now that I
look at the release dates I see that only the E-520, E-620 and E-30 post
date the E-420. What characterizes these cameras is that they have
contrast detection autofocus built into their sensors and can autofocus
with the mirror up. I also noticed that aside from the PEN series there
hasn't been a new E-thingy since the E-30 in Mar. 2009. Maybe the
ordinary (non-micro) 4/3 cameras are done?
