I watched the auction to the end, ready to put a bid on the item...for
about $350. Really all I was interested in was the 90/2, as I already
have the 35/2, and I want to get a BLACK OM-4T to match my BLACK OM-1n
and OM-2n. So I was only willing to bid as much as I thought that
lens was worth, sight unseen, with the cost of a major overhaul in
mind. Obviously somebody else thought it was worth much more.

So I'm still looking for a 55mm filter thread telephoto lens to
complement my 55mm thread lens lineup of 24/2, 35/2, and 55/1.2. I
had a 135/2.8 that I foolishly sold a few months ago, and they have
been surprisingly hard to find lately. Wouldn't mind one day scoring
a 100/2. KEH recently had one in BGN condition for $700...a tad
pricey. The 90/2 would also fit the bill nicely, but again, it's
pricey. The 200/4 is cheap and a decent performer, but just a bit too
long for me.

Instead I was able to placate my GAS by buying a Konica Auto S3 for a
nice price. It's a camera I've been wanting for years. I love those
fixed lens rangefinders from the 70s, they are great cameras, and the
Auto S3 for me was the holy grail (well, that and a black Canonet
QL-17 GIII, one of which I saw recently that went for $130, which is
unheard of).

Long story short, if anyone has an extra 135/2.8 sitting around that
they are not using, let's make a deal!
