Thanks for looking, Brian. The drive to Sierra Nevada is along a good motorway, 
except for the last 30 km which are on a mountain road, but a wide and nice 
one. We left at 6 a.m., arrived around 10, the wife and children were on the 
slopes around 11 (after renting equipment etc.) and stayed out until 5 p.m. 
Then we drove home.

The speed limit in Spain is 120 km/h so you can go 140 without any problems.

When I drive to Bath, I do stop for the night in northern France, partly 
because of the ferry crossing that takes 4.5 hours, making the entire trip too 
long for one day.
