I was working in a recording studio one night (that's to prove that I
actually did) when the engineer and producer started doing a couple lines
they had cut onto the mixing desk.

Needless to say, I went a little ballistic. First of all, I didn't touch the
stuff, but secondly, that junk does wonders to electronics and I was
personally supervising over a hundred grand of gear in that room. I went
into insulting mode and basically told them that they were worthless pieces
of s*** and if they needed the drugs to do their job then they weren't any
good. I carved them open, filleted them and left them to the scavengers. I
kinda ruined their moment, so they put the stuff away and saved it for a
bathroom break. I can't control their behavior outside the room, but in the
room I had veto power and I used it. Neither one actually lasted long in the
industry.

Another time, at a BIG network production facility which produced multiple
top-rated shows (I'm not naming names, here), the drugs flowed like coffee.
At any given time, 2/3 of the people there had to be high. I kept my mouth
shut because the culture of the entire place showed that I was an outsider
and the equipment I was training people on and configuring was oned by the
network. What was incredible, though, was six months later, the
vegan-syndrome kicked in and when I returned, it was like a Baptist Social.
The "Granola Heads" ruled.
