Well, I was actually thinking about audio compressors.  I like using a
soft-knee with 4:1 on vocal and threshold at -20. I do use an extremely fast
attack and about a 200ms decay to prevent pumping.

Now, when it comes to shoulders and toes.... I've broken both in my body and
bent both in my film.
