Hi Ian,

I forgot to tell something. Everybody is claiming that E-30 has a better
sensor than E-3. Well Panasonic could have solved banding issues but
noise is much higher than E-3. Have a look to these images.

This image is ISO 200 taken with E-30. Please go through the image. Mid
tones and shadows are covered by noise, noise and noise. Red and green
noise dots spoling the whole image.

Now E-3 ISO 100, same lens, same lighting conditions.

Olympus did a terribly great job redesigning E-510 sensor for E-3. The
quality is awesome for such a small sensor. Please enlarge the image
have a look to image structure, color, noise...

This is a pro camera. E-30 is good but I don´t agree the new sensor
ouperforms E-3. In my honest opinion E-30 sensor was designed long time
ago and we cannot see a linear evolution between E-3 and E-30. The new
E-4 will show the real evolution from E-3 to E-4.

E-30 reminds me too much to E-500 image structure. These red and green
dots all over the image while E-1 was always clean like E-3.

Regards,

Dave
