Boy, that read like a bad comedy. Two laptops, multiple external drives,
etc. To do WHAT? To make in-trip backups of the CF cards? 80GB of CF
cards?
And here I was feeling bad because my supply of film in the camera bag was
taking up the space in one outer-pocket.
Honestly, I don't mean to come across as a recalcitrant, but to what end are
these people being so nuts? Are these people so narcissistic to think that
all 80GB of images taken on their summer vacation are so important and
irreplaceable that they have to immediately make triple backups of
everything the moment they take the picture? I didn't realize that CF cards
were so vulnerable.
And then, to add insult to injury, every stinking night you're spending
hours on image-management. Maybe Ken Rockwell might be onto something.
(but then again, maybe not).
For the weight and size of ONE LAPTOP, I can carry a LOT of Zuikos and OM
bodies.
Oh, and Khen might be 48 years old, but ask him how old his girlfriend is.
