It might be that your systems are baulking at carrying out file  
functions on a file on a memory card.

You don't have to use Bridge to move the files.  I suppose you know  
that already, but why not just shift the files from your memory card  
to your hard drive?  That way your functions will be far faster and  
you will probably have all the options available on each file.
