They have.  Closer to 1-1/2 x 3-1/2.  And 1/4", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" 
plywood are no longer those thicknesses.  Now (except for hardwood) 
shrunk by 1/64 or 1/32 and designated (parenthetically) in those silly 
millimeter measurements we normally only use for lens focal lengths.
