John,

I have a Minolta Multi-pro that I like very much. I use it for mainly 6x6 
and Xpan shots, almost all negative. With the "scanhancer" diffusion 
material, it doesn't get as much problems with grain.

I didn't get the Nikon, as I heard too many complaints about the 
point-source lighting. Nevertheless, a friend has one and gets fine results 
as well.

Any more and you are in the Flextight area, or buying a used drum scanner.
