FWIW, I bought a Spyder 2 thingy to calibrate my monitor at home (an
LCD), and just for fun, my CRT monitor at work. These profiles seem to
work fine. I didn't have any OEM monitor profiles anyway.

I'm facing a similar problem. My faithful Trinitron monitor now almost
always resists profiling. This is very important to me, as my biggest
client is about to go all four color. I see a lot of people and
reviewers commenting on what great/sharp/cool pictures they get on their
monitors, but I've not seen anywhere that indicates how well one can be
profiled.

Do any of you profile your monitors, and if so which? Samsung? Apple?
Dell?
Etc.?

I'm a bit price sensitive, but as long as it is under eight or nine
hundred I probably will be fine. The LaCies and Ezios are surely nice,
but out of the question, bu I'm not looking for a $200 solution, either.
