Hi Ali,
I have no experience with OM, the E 410 is the first Olympus I have ever
owned. But I like it very much. My other DSLR is a Canon 1DII; I bought
the E 410 for travel and other situations where I needed a small outfit.
And I have not been disappointed. The E 410 is as close to a Leica M as
I have been since I went over to the Dark Side in 2004. I guess buying
an M8 would get me even closer, but there is a slight financial issue
with that option ;-)
I was a bit apprehensive because I read in some review that the menu
structure on the Olympus DSLRs was confusing, but I found it to be quite
easy to deal with, perhaps because I do not fiddle much with settings
other than changing ISO when needed. And I have no problem going from
the Canon to the Olympus and back, even though the menu setups are quite
different. Really, the only minor irritant I feel about the Olympus is
that you cannot delete an image during the instant review 3 seconds.
Highly recommended.
