As a founder member of the Olympus Luddite society (along with
Donald...where is he?) I am looking for some digital advice.
Last year while in the States I bought an E-1 complete with 14-54
lens cheaper than I could buy the lens only in the UK.
We are fortunate to be going again this year,flying out on Thursday.
This is likely to be our last trip to the States for a while.
The E-510 is approx $250/£125 cheaper in the States than in the UK.
Do I hang on waiting for an E?? bearing in mind it will be FAR more
expensive in the UK or do I pick up an E-510 at a very attractive
price?
What are the experiences of those of you using the 510.
The other point is that although the new E-?? is likely to be
expensive, and built like a tank, will it have features I REALLY NEED?
The E-510 feels good, although the switches seem small and flimsy
compared to the E1. Also how strong is the memory door catch?
Any advice will be much appreciated
