Sadly, it does sound final.

Unfortunately, I have recent experience with losing the love of my life.  I
believe Walt has the strength to make it past even such a big tragedy.  The
human body is pretty amazing, supported by faith as is the human mind. I
know for a fact that it is possible to return from a Hospice situation.  We
need to keep our strength behind him too.
