It did cost us some funding because the nuclear industry cooperation went
away for doing certain series of tests. They did not want to see the
results. Some of our managers lost their jobs because they would not cave in
to industry pressure and told the truth. When faced with that situation the
word integrity takes on a whole new meaning. Some actually have it and I'm
proud to have known some of them. /jmac

But you didn't loose your funding did you?  Part of the academic training
you are supposed to go through by your committee is in integrity.  When you
go through your oral exams they are not only supposed to test your knowledge
but also how you answer when it is obvious that you have no clue of what
they are referring to.  Now, this is how it should be, I do not know if it
is like that in all cases.  I went through that kind of grinder, it was not
pleasant, but I made it.
