I'm correcting my own post here.  You don't need an OM-2000 for 
self-timer aperture pre-fire.  An OM-2s or later will suffice.  I don't 
see it mentioned in the manual but the reason I mentioned the OM-2000 is 
that I thought it was possible to set the OM-2000 self-timer for 2 
seconds so you didn't have to wait the full 10 seconds when you only 
want to activate mirror and aperture pre-fire.  Would an OM-2000 owner 
like to comment on this?  It's in my memory for some reason and I should 
remove it if wrong.

I was just reviewing the specs of the OM-2000 again.  I've never owned 
one and I know the quality isn't up to single digit OM models but it 
certainly has some attractive features.  Dr. Flash would find the 1/125 
flash sync speed especially attractive for daylight fill flash and shade 
with sunlit background.
