I seem to remember that Foveon gave Sigma some kind of exclusive agreement on
use of the Foveon sensor.

If Olympus were to choose this technology for the E-3 a 4/3 size sensor
with the same pixel density would yield about 11.25 MP. (at least as
Foveon likes to count them). Divide by 3 for actual pixel locations.
