The D200 also is compatible with Nikon manual focus lenses. Chipped
manual focus lenses and many unchipped lenses preserve the metering
and automatic aperture that was available on the the manual focus
cameras they were designed for. That is because the aperture
actuating lever has returned to the D2 series and the D200. A few
older unchipped manual focus lenses have to be used in preset mode
but still have aperture priority or manual meter with center weighted
or spot metering.
