Yes, I use the BCL-2 (originally for the E-300, I think) instead of the BCL-1
for my E-1. It charges more slowly (at least 4 hours instead of 2, see
http://www.olympus-europa.com/consumer/dslr_BCM-2.htm), but is more compact,
which is a bonus for travel.
