Color is more neutral and contrast is much more refined with the
new lenses--that's for sure.  Going from one old Zuiko to
another requires some post-processing adjustment to get images
to match.  For *most* for-hire work, I'll give the nod to the DZ
lenses.  I really like the 14-54 lens and it is consistant and I
don't battle any exposure problems.  But for my own spec work
and any attempt to get an artistic edge, I'll happily reach for
the old lenses.

I've found that my handheld incident meter is a trusted friend
for determining best exposures, though.  Even beats chimping
with a histogram.  Getting midtones right with the E-1 (and the
A1) seems to give me the best saturation and highlight control. 
I typically suck the bottom end down anyway (the Velvia touch)
so noise is less of a concern.
