It has changed significantly since then mostly due to the success and growth
they have had. They're the big gorilla of Canadian photographic stores and
recently they've been buying up a number of the more successful mom and pop
stores in cities outside of Toronto. The net result is an increase in
in-store prices, especially on used equipment. Today I never make any
significant purchases in Canada, US retailers can usually beat Canadian prices
by at least 20%. Add another 15% if you're lucky enough to not get caught
for taxes.
