Your OM1, provided that the meter is working properly, will give you  
pretty well all you need.  Just make sure that you point the camera  
at what you want to expose properly before you take notice of the  
meter's reading.  Once you have set the aperture and shutter speed  
combination you can re-compose.

I used nothing but an OM1N for years before I won a 2SP in a raffle.   
I lived in Germany for 3 years, a place where they have snow most  
winters, and just over-exposed my winter shots by one stop.  Your  
camera is fine without any extra meters IMO.
