Good point. Even though Carter arranged the release, Reagan made a deal
with
Iran to hold our American HOSTAGES for 44 extra days, so their release could
be used as a photo opportunity to coincide with his televised Inauguration.
And there it was on split screen, Reagan on the left getting sworn in, the
hostages being freed on the right of the screen.
