I cleaned up slow blades on a 50mm 1.8 quite succesfully. In that case
there was oil or something on the aperture blades. The only thing I had
to make was a tool to take the front ring off. I bought the lens from a
bargain bin so I could do it. Not sure how tricky the 1.2 would be though.
