This helps the tripod, but not the body lens combo. The same weight in
rather small bits in a flexible bag draped over body and lens will be
more effective in reducing vibration caused unsharpness. It still pushes
down on the tripod, but also helps absorb mirror/aperture/shutter
vibrations.
