Hi,
The QA 310 will also do flash-regulated auto. The flash decides when enough
light has been reflected back and shuts down.
You need the remote sensor if you want to QA 310 to work properly off the
camera in that mode. The remote sensor fits on the camera shoe and is
connected to the QA310 by a cord ...
According to Shipman, the remote sensor will work OK this way on any
camera with X-synch at the hot shoe.
