There used to be available a plastic like coating that came in a spray can
that was used to quieten noisy flyback transformers in monitors and tv's.
You would spray it on the transformer and when dry it formed a solid plastic
covering.  I'm sure this stuff is still available via good electronics supply
shops.  It's probably safer and more effective than using regular glues.
