Drop AOL in favor of an ISP that let's you use your choice of email
programs. Then again, maybe it's all those chat rooms that keeps AOL
subscribers on the hook.
Belatedly, I'll chime in that I too am tired of seeing all the HTML,
duplicate text, and excessive quoting. Lately I've joined the mailing
lists of two other brands so that I can learn something about the gear I
picked up at garage sales. (No, I'm not replacing the Olympus stuff, but a
deal/steal on a good SLR and lenses begging to be liberated from a
neglectful owner is just too hard to pass up.) I must say, the other lists
are a bit more orderly in arrangement and text matters. BUT, and this is a
BIG but, they are nowhere near as entertaining and educational as this list
is. So, as much as it taxes my eyes to read some of our list's posts, I'll
continue to do so. Otherwise, I might just miss that nugget of information
I happen to need at the moment. Speaking of nuggets, did Bill Stanke ever
get the mothball smell out of his truck? How?
