[OM] 18V Control Grip: Obscure Trivia

hi All,The M18 Control grip for the MD's looks like it has been carefully 
designed so it **cannot** be used with the Motor drive extension cords. The 
back interlocking overhanging plate is wider than that on the motor drives or 
Intervalometer so that it can't physically fit.  Although unusual I can't see 
why the extension cable should not be used, as it would make a remote squeeze 
release with batteries? Maybe this is a mistake rather than a feature. Tim
